Key Log

Keeping track of who can go where

Because organizations have multiple keys that fit multiple locks and security needs to know who holds those keys, we have created a key log that aims to cover the key logging needs of all departments in your organization.

First and foremost, the security department deals on a day to day basis with many keys and may be responsible for the issuing of those keys to people either permanently or temporarily to grant access to personnel, repair crews and others. The key log keeps track of who gave a key to whom and will issue a warning if the key was given to them temporarily but was not returned back to the security department. Administration can review the key log in case there was an incident and there is a need to know who had access at any given time to specific facilities of your organization.

Now the key log goes even further, allowing other departments of your organization to handle their keys in the same manner and have access to their own key logs. The security department can have access to all the key logs of an organization making related information needed in investigations easy to access.

The key log will show you which doors a key can open and depending on your organization's locksmith practices, the key log can even tell you who was issued a lost and/or found key.
