Access Control and Ban List
Giving access control posts the tool they need
Now you can have active access control at your access control posts by utilizing our software solution. Access control posts can use computer terminals that are able to read your organization's IDs whether they are issued to employees, workers, residents or visitors. Our system can accept barcode readers, magnetic stripe readers or proximity card readers and they can find the ID information in your People database to make sure that the person attempting to enter a building or an area, has access to that building or area. Whether you utilize photo IDs or not, the terminal will display a photo of the ID holder as long as there is a photo in the database for that person. If you have entered this person on a banned list, an alert will be raised automatically and it will be sent to all security personnel, including dispatch.
For cases where your organization has residential facilities, the access control system verifies that the ID holder is a resident. If the ID holder is not a resident, IVy Incidents will prompt to go through the sign in procedure. Sign in procedures can require the scanning of a resident's ID in order to become their guest. Furthermore, if required, a special policy can be put in place that does not allow a non-resident to be signed in for overnight stay after a specific amount of overnight visits in a row. In that case the officer or access control personnel will be informed that the non-resident cannot be signed in by any resident of that building at that time.
Access control posts can also receive "Use Caution" alerts for a person that a "Use Caution" note has been entered and they can receive emergency alerts issued by the security department. Finally, access control posts can issue emergency alerts towards security personnel with the press of a button and the officers or access control personnel can access the inter office messaging system provided by IVy Incidents.
An effective Ban list
IVy Incidents provides a way for you to keep track of a list of people that are banned from all grounds or specific buildings. The Ban List can be updated by any user that has been assigned editing rights to it and can be viewed and utilized by security personnel. The Ban List is directly connected to the People database and allows access control posts to be notified when a person on the list is attempting to enter a building or an area that they have been banned from.
