IVy Incidents

Public Safety and Security Incident Reporting System

Emergency Alerts

Designed to enhance security response

IVy Incidents offers an integrated Emergency Alert system for use by security departments that can enhance the way security receives emergency requests for help and also provide the means to send out site wide emergency alerts to access control posts and other users of the system.

Emergency alerts initiated by employees of your organization appear to all security personnel logged in to IVy Incidents within seconds and they show up as high priority messages the information and the employee picture on file with visual and audible effects that take priority and must be acknowledged by security. The person that triggered an emergency alert has visual confirmation that the alert was received and acknowledged by the security department and if they are logged in the IVy Incidents ssystem, they can view who received and who has acknowledged their alert. Alerts are also delivered to security personnel via email and text messages including the picture of the person that triggered the alert. In this way, a security officer that is on patrol, will have the name and the picture of the person that needs immediate assistance on his/her cell phone or tablet.

Emergency alerts can be triggered by simply opening a shortcut from an employee's computer desktop regardless if the employee has a user account in IVy Incidents. If the alert is initiated by an desktop shortcut, the employee will receive confirmation that the alert has been delivered and acknowledged by security personnel. Deploying the emergency alert function to an employees computer is as easy as authorizing them in IVy Incidents and they will receive with detailed information on how to place the icon on their desktop and how to use the emergency alert system. Employees have the ability to send test alerts at any time they wish to test the system and security personnel is notified that it is a test and not an actual emergency.

The Emergency Alert system is ideal for access control posts such as manned security desks at the entrance of a building and/or a building's floor where the security officer can send an alert to the security department without letting the people around them know that security has been notified. Furthermore, combined with other features like ID checking and the Ban List, it allows access control posts to raise an alert automatically, without the intervention of the officer, when a banned person is attempting to enter a building or when a person was assigned a "Use Caution Note" goes through ID check procedures.

Emergency Alerts can be linked to Dispatch records and in turn, Dispatch records can be linked to Incident Reports. This way, as soon as dispatch acknowledges the alert, they can create a dispatch record that contains the alert information with the press of a button.

Security personnel, depending on the access level, can also issue emergency alerts that can target all sites, their own site, the security department or access control posts. These types of alerts are ideal to supplement an alert procedure in cases where a lockdown message must reach as many people as possible and especially the access control posts.

Please note that due to system limitations, the IVy Incidents emergency alerts system is not designed to replace or act as a global alert system for all personnel. It is a feature that supplements such systems.

Some features described in this webside may be in QA testing phase and will be available soon.
